How it starts
Send me a DM, or fill out the consultation form on this site with a recent photo of your current color and length. I schedule extension consultations myself rather than putting them online.
“I like to be in a little bit more control of when I’m booking that.”Megan Hudgin
Color only? You can usually do the whole consultation by message: your current color, an inspiration photo and a little hair history. That saves you a trip.
What I’ll ask you
- What you are happy with in your hair right now, and what you are not.
- What you like about your current hair, so we don’t accidentally lose it.
- Your inspiration photos, one at a time. What do you like most about each one, and what don’t you like?
- Warm or not warm. Your word and my word might not mean the same thing.
- How you wear it. Do you pull it back for work or the gym? High pony or low?
- What products and heat tools you use at home.
- Your water. Hard water and mineral buildup can turn color brassy.
“If somebody says warm and I think warm, you might think that means something different.”Megan Hudgin
Photos that are all over the place are welcome. They tell me what each one is doing for you, the brightness in one, the blend in another, the placement in a third.
What we decide
- Whether extensions are right for your hair at all.
- K-tips, wefts or a combination.
- How much hair, and how we match it to your color.
- Your price. Extension prices are quoted at the consultation because every head of hair is different.
What to bring
- A recent photo of your current color and length, if you haven’t sent one.
- Your inspiration photos.
- A little of your hair history.
