Balayage, Gold Coast

Custom balayage, the blend is in the foils.

Strategically placed foils that suit your skin tone and your natural color. The blend is built into the placement, not left to a toner or a shadow root, so it grows out soft.

The placement

No toner doing the hiding.

Megan’s note on her own work: the blend is built into the foils and the placement, not relying on toners and a shadow root. Each section is placed to enhance your natural color and complement your skin tone.

What her clients mention most is the outgrowth. It is smooth, without lines or noticeable differences as it grows.

The consultation

“Warm” means different things.

“If somebody says warm and I think warm, you might think that means something different.” So Megan asks what you like about your hair now and pulls apart every inspiration photo you bring: the brightness in one, the blend in another.

  • Color clients can finish the whole consultation through the form: a recent photo of your current color and length, an inspiration photo, a little hair history.
  • Then book balayage online.
  • Full or partial highlights if you want more brightness.

At home

Keep it from going brassy.

“I can do a great color, but if you’re not taking care of it at home, it can look like a bad color.”

  • Hard water and mineral buildup cause brassiness. A shower filter helps.
  • A boar bristle brush moves your scalp’s oils down to the ends.
  • A little oil on the ends at night, and you wake up to shine.
